19A – Idea Napkin No. 2

1)    You. Who you are. What your talents are. What your skills and experiences are. Also: what are your aspirations? Specifically regarding your business concept, how do you see this business (if you were to start it) playing a role in your life?
I am a hardworking, straight forward person, and I am very decisive. My skills and experiences include small business building from marketing, production, and customer interaction/sales. My aspirations are to make money or to be a known member of the community. My business concept is making profit for hard work, unit by unit, service by service. I do not think this product would truly be my dream but when I find something truly believe in, I will work all day and night to make it successful.

2)    What are you offering to customers? Describe the product or service (in other words, how you'll solve customers' unmet needs).
I am offering to my customers the chance to provide a food source from within their home for little cost. Most people want to eat healthy but don’t do not have the time or funds to do so. If there was a growing supply every other week that you could easily pick you may be more inclined to eat healthier.

3)    Who are you offering it to? Describe, in as much detail as possible, the demographic and psychographic characteristics of your customers. Think especially of this question: what do your customers all have in common?
I am looking to sell it to the vegetarian and vegan community, people looking to eat more vegetables, those highly concerned if there food is sustainably sourced, ad those who really just like vegetables.

4)    Why do they care? Your solution is only valuable insofar as customers believe its valuable to them. Here, explain why customers will actually pay you money to use your product or service.
They care because they know that their food comes from. They could enjoy gardening or maybe don’t want to fund food that is processed by under paid workers or genetically modified. The care because they want to get more healthy.

5)    What are your core competencies? What sets you apart from everyone else? Also: what do you have that nobody else has?
I think what sets me apart is that because I am never afraid to take a new opportunity and I am good with people.

I think that things fit together but there is nothing really saying that my product is going to be super great successful, but I think it shows that I am ready for my opportunity to come my way. I do not mean that in a way where I am sitting around  waiting for a phone call but more if when I think a good idea and ask my my self these 5 questions and they will actually line up.

  1. Hey Chris, great job on evaluating your idea and your characteristics that contribute most to the success of your product. I think you have a lot of potential and a good understanding of how to tie together the different parts of entrepreneurship to create your service. I am very concerned with where my food comes from and what I am putting in my body so I agree with your points and why people will be interested in your service. Keep up the good work, your idea is great!
