25A What's next?

Existing Market. 

I believe that the next step in my venture is creating a additional products that can hang, certain colors, styles, and extra products that can boost the product of your garden. I may be able to add a feature where we can come and deep clean your device and exchange the soil used in the future if that’s service you feel you may need.

Danny: Danny said that as certain plants become more needed due to war, poverty, or natural disaster I could add more typed of plants that do not sprout like carrots and potatoes. This also led the interview to discussing exotic plants because Danny has been in the navy and done lot of traveling. He said that the US is a very diverse place that would have people desiring more than just basic crops found in our grocery store.

Carlos: Carlos began with stating that he saw the product coming with a guide on how to grow things that could be used as household items. He said that his relatives could use certain plants for shampoo or conditioner and that some things could be used as medical treatments. This would be a way to replace the use of harmful chemicals.

Bre: Bre said that the next thing our company should focus is trying to reach out to other places on the glob especially those with a lack of food. She said that some places have climates that may not support a large variety

With the feedback that I have received I plan to focus on the pants that would be feature din my garden. It is just common sense that not all plants grow the in the same climate, soil, and with different levels of hydration. I think that something I can add to my company will be specialization a certain section for a certain plant. A way to do this would be adding a knob that can adjust the light for that section and another one for adjusting the amount of water that section releases. By doing this different plant will be able to perform in their best conditions and you can enjoy a variety of different vegetables.    

I can get this idea into play by including a small booklet with instructions about how to adjust for each type of plant. This path will also address my interviewee suggestions that I should incorporate exotic plants you can only get in certain parts of the world. I can include a exotic plants section which will be an easy and low cost way to meet the small customer audience who would want to grow interesting things.  

New Market.

I think that I currently addressing an audience that has a over 100 dollars to drop on an indoor hydroponic garden. I think that to reach out to a less fininacially capable market, I could create a smaller and cheaper form or a less attractive garden made of PVC pipe and you put your own soil into that is found in your yard. I think this would cut cost enough for more people to invest in my product.  

The two people I interviewed were high schoolers from a lower income school that came in for tutoring. I asked them for opinions they said that they have grandparents who would like it and they said that it would be cool to have one at school. I think that maybe I should look into selling it to schools as well that are lower income and start some program, maybe making money from a grant or something.

I learned about this new market that obviously it won’t make as much money as my original market because my goal was to branch into lower income schools. I think this would be a good way to make a positive change in society but to say it is the key to making a lot of money I do not think so. As someone who is lower income and raised by a single parent there are better things that my mom has to spend her money on. If our dryer breaks or car breaks down, that is a crisis so it is important that we save our money and expect for the worst as much as we can living pay check to pay check. Purchasing a indoor garden is not a necessity, especially when we have a back yard we can plant things in.
